The Supreme Champion today was a reverse of the final at Kumeu with todays Supreme going to the wonderful Intermediate Male Champion, Surico Trovatore. Silk Pride was brought to the front of the line-up with Trovatore and after several examinations and some discussion between the judges there was a lot of tension and excitement as we all waited for the final result. Our congratulations to Sue and Hermione of Surico Alpacas! I was asked to stay in the ring with Silk Pride as the judge, Kate Mander of Christchurch, wanted to say how very close the decision had been and acknowledge Silk Pride as a world class female equal or better to any she had seen anywhere in the world.
Suri breeders in New Zealand can be proud of the extremely high quality of the suris being bred in New Zealand and Brian and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to exhibit these world class suris on behalf of Cedar House, Australia.
